This year’s NEVIS Forum took place in digital form on June 24. The motto was “Lift off to the Cloud”. Keynote speaker Claude Nicollier used the Apollo missions and the Hubble Space Telescope as examples to talk about the opportunities and risks of manned spaceflight – opportunities and risks that also exist for companies that take their offers to the cloud.
The consumer identity and access management (CIAM) market was estimated at USD 13.45 billion in 2017 and is expected to triple by 2023 to reach USD 37.79 billion, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18.8% over the forecast period.* The digital transformation is therefore, as in so many areas, progressing steadily. Compared to on-premise solutions, growth in the cloud area is above average. This is because innovative companies are increasingly turning to cloud solutions to reap the benefits of reduced maintenance and more up-to-date software solutions.
In addition to cloud solutions, the E-Forum focused on the topic of biometric authentication. The talk of Lukas Westermann was about passwordless authentication with the NEVIS Authentication Cloud. There was also a presentation in English by Arxan, demonstrating how NEVIS and Arxan technology can be used to protect companies from cyber attacks on mobile apps and data leaks. In a further presentation, Aaron Akeret from Health Info Net AG (HIN) used the HIN ID to explain the role of digital identities in modern healthcare and gave an outlook on the future topic of EPD (Electronic Patient Record).
The E-Forum was rounded off by a look into the future with Gregory Guglielmetti, Chief Product Officer at NEVIS. Of particular importance were the passwordless authentication, the NEVIS Identity Cloud and the Kubernetes support (Kubernetes is a platform for the automated orchestration of software), so that you can start into a password-free future together with us.
